Gingerbread Cowboy

Before the winter break, RBE kindergarten students were reading all the gingerbread man stories and fables. They read several different versions and looked at all the similarities and differences.

Then, they got to go on a fun gingerbread man hunt all over the school! There clues left around, and one of their clues brought them to the library. The gingerbread men were really fast, but they did stop in the library!

So, when they visited the library, I decided to read The Gingerbread Cowboy  by Janet Squires and Holly Berry. They each got a gingerbread cowboy on a stick, and they got to make him run each time it said, “Run, run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man!”

This is a fun western version of the story, and I was happy I got to share with them. Check out the video below to see each class!
