The Tale of Despereaux : Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread

The Tale of Despereaux : Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread  by Kate DiCamillo and illustrated by Timothy Basil Ering

CALL NUMBER: F DIC

This book is about a small, big eared, mouse that is brave he meets a princess and the other mice do not like or don’t trust them as well as the rats so the mice council send him to the dungeon where the rats are will he live or will the rats consume him.

My favorite part of the book is when the little mouse goes to the kitchen to help save the princess from the mice so he talks to the cook that can not hear him so he finds needle and pocks him in the foot then the cook listens.

If you like action exciting fantasy books you will love this one like i did.

This book’s genre is fantasy and fairy tale. This book’s story line is action oriented, funny, sad, thoughtful, heart-warming. This book left me feeling cheerful, content, giggly, grateful, hopeful, inspired, motivated, shocked, surprised, touched, little sad. On a scale of 1-5, I give this book a 4.
