In September the RBE Library hosted 2 book clubs. We had a 4th grade book club and a 5th grade book club. This time around I chose students that had never had the chance to participate in book clubs. So, we had all new participants!
The 4th grade students read A Tale Dark and Grimm and the 5th grade students read The Sisters Grimm.
Students came to the library 3 times during the month of September during their lunch on Fridays. They ate lunch in the library and we enjoyed great conversation about 2 great books. I gave all the kids Post-It notes to mark parts they really liked to read aloud or parts that they wanted to talk about.
Both of these books were about Grimm fairy tales. They are very imaginative and exciting stories, and me and the kids really enjoyed both books! The pictures below are of the students who participated in the September book clubs.
