As many of you know, February was National I Love My Library Month!
Here at the RBE Library, we wanted to give students a chance to share what they love about the RBE Library. They had a lot to say!
During our celebration, I took time to show each class from Kinder through 5th grade about Overdrive, our online FISD Digital Library where students can check out digital ebooks and audiobooks for FREE! Click here for more information about Overdrive!
We also took some time to create “Love Notes to the RBE Library.” Students either cut their own or were given a heart so they could write something that they love about the library on it!
Student comments ranged from that they love all the books, to the variety of books, to specific authors, titles, or genres. They said they loved the new way the library was decorated and the library website. They also said that they loved their librarians!
We also gave a paperback book to each classroom for their classroom library and a small bag Hershey’s Kisses or Hugs because the RBE Library wanted to send some love to all of our teachers and students! See the pics from our celebration below!
