During 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade lunches on December 8th, students who purchased Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever from the library, were invited to come eat their lunch in the library and celebrate the launch of the book!
We were sent games and pencils from the publisher, so we played Wimpy Kid Bingo and gave Cabin Fever pencils as the prizes. We played a trivia game and a game where the players had to guess what word was on the card without using specific key words mentioned on the card. (I am not describing it very well!)
I found out that RBE readers are real Wimpy Kid experts!
Most of all, we just had fun celebrating a wonderful new books and a shared love of reading!
It was truly a great day! Several kids left the library that day explaining that this was the best lunch ever!!!
