2nd Grade Bridges Experiment

bridge 1This week at the McSpedden Library, our 2nd graders will be performing 4 experiments about bridges. They will be using markers, pennies, and notecards folded and glued in various ways to test the best structure of a bridge.

Since the book fair is in the library this week, I will be traveling to the classrooms to facilitate this experiment with the teachers and students.

The students have been learning about bridges in their Science lessons, then we will conduct these experiments and make important observations about structure, and then the students will begin to design their own bridges.

Here is the Bridges Experiment & Observations Handout we will be using.
